Cig Harvey, MFA, is a passionate working artist and educator. She is known for her autobiographical photographs and devotion to the craft of visual story telling. Her images are held in collections world wide, including the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House, Rochester, NY and The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Texas.
Cig's work has won awards and been highlighted in PDN, Popular Photography and American Photography. She regularly participates on panels in seminars and symposiums around the country on her personal work and its place in the history of the medium.
Cig is a full time Associate professor of Photography at the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. The Joel Soroka Gallery is very proud to have represented Cig Harvey since 2005.
